A new power app, 247electric has been invented to impact on the nation’s economy, using the innovative solution to tackle the range of problems in the electricity supply value chain.
The Business Development Manager, 247electric, Eno Bassey, said the app is a power sector focused platform that collects data by engaging enterprising smart phone owners to eradicate problems in the power sector.
He claimed the platform strives to stimulate the interest of consumers in the development of the power sector by positioning the electricity infrastructure as a national asset that has direct bearing on the quality of lives of Nigerians.

According to him, the platform strategically provides incentives and rewards users for reporting sabotage and posting to the platform as data collected are intelligently assigned by the platform to relevant organisations for resolution, which improves energy availability.
Bassey stressed that the app brings convenience to making payments, buying electricity from mobile phones easily, improved electricity availability and ease of making payments, which will improve the revenue collection challenges of the entire sector’s value chain.
“On sign up, users get two bonus points and opportunities to report relevant issues and get rewarded. The platform democratizes electricity sales for small retailers to resell electricity to their communities for commission.

He further described the app to be a result of focused strategy at XT monitor, seeking to bring new and innovative practices to deal with electricity problem in the country.
