FLY AFRICA, the book co-written by Hassan El-Houry, a pioneer of the African aviation industry and Eric Kacou, an African strategist and investor, was launched yesterday on Amazon.

The book highlights how aviation could become one of Africa’s greatest strengths, underpinning its economic growth and linking it to the rest of the world. Yet today, the African aviation industry is lagging behind. This disparity is made even more obvious by the fact that Africans make up 12% of the world’s population and less than 2% of its travelers. This inequality is not, however, inevitable.

Aviation can provide a life raft revitalizing African national economies and contributing to development.

El-Houry: “We believe that the future of aviation is in Africa. As the continent grows and economies continue to grow, we will see more and more opportunities for new business models. Africa has a lot to learn but also a lot to teach. With vision, cooperation and commitment, we believe that the potential of aviation in Africa will be fully realized. ”

The authors also set out a roadmap for transforming the continent’s aerospace industry, highlighting its existing champions and illustrating the effects that aviation can have on other sectors.

The essence of FLY AFRICA is based on solid research combined with El-Houry’s personal knowledge and experience gained through his role as CEO of National Aviation Services (NAS), the fastest-growing aeronautical service provider in the world. Emerging Markets.

All this makes FLY AFRICA a fair image of the African aviation industry and its enormous potential.

Mr. Kacou: “The impact of a healthy aviation sector in Africa will be felt everywhere. That would mean more African tourists in Europe, more African business people in the Middle East and more African students in the United States. All this will foreshadow a new era of relationship between Africa and the rest of the world. In this book, we aim to offer both a realistic assessment of the current situation and an optimistic view of what is possible when we unleash the potential of aviation in Africa. ”

Overall, FLY AFRICA is a must-read for anyone who believes in aviation in Africa.
