Forward With Buhari Takes Grassroot Campaign To Kano

Forward With Buhari, a pro-Buhari campaign group initiated by the Nigeria Governors Forum has taken its grassroot mobilisation in support of the President to the ancient city of Kano.

Zamfara state governor, Abdulaziz Yari had said at the inauguration of the group that it has the blessing of the 36 state governors some of who has allegedly made contributions to the campaign.

 

The campaign organisation comprises mostly youths, mobilisers, sensitizers and grassroots canvassers.

 

National coordinator of the group, Sen. Lawali Shuaibu, the group which kick-started its road show from Lagos State has been to Edo and Zamfara states with the Kano as the next step to drum support for the President’s reelection.

“Everywhere we go, we intend to enlighten our grassroots and general public on the inevitable need to re-elect President Muhammadu Buhari for a second term based on the good works and resounding achievements”, Senator Shuaibu said.

 

According to Senator Shuaibu, who is also the Deputy National Chairman (North) of the governing All Progressives Congress (APC), “There is no alternative to President Buhari in the coming elections. Therefore, in order to consolidate on the gains made so far, Nigerians should massively vote President Buhari.

 

He said while in Lagos, Edo and Zamfara States, the Forward with Buhari campaign organisation embarked on intense road shows, stopping at various strategic points including markets and event centres to interact with the people and distribute campaign items showcasing verifiable achievements of the current administration and President Buhari as the most viable option among the presidential candidates.

 

The group intends to tour the entire six geopolitical before the Presidential election on February 16, 2019.
