General Overseer of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) is calling for a revolution to rescue Ghana from depression.
According to him, “we are a country in need of inspiration…there is enough depression to swallow not only this generation but several to come after us.”
Speaking at a book lunch by Albert and Comfort Ocran titled: ‘Dare to Dream’ at a Springboard event in Accra, the prolific preacher underscored the need for Ghanaians to take their destinies into their hands to save the country from collapse.
“We have to wrest the nation back and control it as citizens of this country and that is the challenge I want to put to you. You have to dare to dream to take our nation back,”
“I hope that as we celebrate this story, and I like how it was put earlier that it’s a revolution and it’s really a revolution. We have to battle, we have to fight, we have to wrest the destiny of our nation from incompetence and from people, who have determined to run us to the ground” he noted.
Ahead of the much anticipated election on November 7, 2016, the ICGC leader urged the electorate not to settle for less but rather have “appetite for better things”.
“We can’t just be happy because a road has been tarred. We can’t just be happy that we didn’t have electricity now we have electricity. We can’t be happy with minimal” he stated.
Pastor Otabil however cautioned critics not to turn his comment into a political football since it is not meant to favour any political party.
“I am not saying that in a political sense. I am not saying take back from one party and give it to another party” he added.
