A non-governmental organization (NGO), First Child and Prisoner Care Foundation (FCPCF) has called on youths in the country to vote wisely and peacefully to allow for credible representatives in the forthcoming general election.
The founder of the NGO, Amb. Martins Efe while speaking after a round table chat with Rotary International Abuja( the Ambassaors) on the ongoing sensitization of Nigerian youths on the need for peaceful election, explained that cardinal focus of the organization are empowerment, reformation, community development which according to him is impossible to achieve without including the youths that form highest percentage of the population.
Efe noted that the organization is focused on turning the conditions of widows around through various empowerment schemes who are often times neglected in the society with children to take care of while also adding that many of these children are forced into many vices as a result of hardship.

“Youths should vote conscientiously, looking at the various sectors of the society knowing what they want should be a guide to bringing in capable hands that are fit to bring about the needed change in these areas, that is not possible if they do not vote in peace, no matter the language, tribe or culture we are one Nigeria” he said.
The Peace Ambassador who has been out of the country for project engagement for some time now further added that his projects are part of his cooperative social responsibility while pointing out that funding has been partly raised by donors, friends and proceeds from fundraising events.
He further disclosed that decongesting the prisons was an area of focus as many people in the prisons are languishing in the prisons for bailable crimes or crimes they did not commit.
” My decision to go into prisoners care was from a personal experience with a friend who was locked up due to a setup, with a help of a lawyer judgement was turned around which made me realise how many people suffer the same fate with no help coming from anyone ” he said.
