Gunmen Kidnap Cleric In Jigawa

Unknown gunmen have kidnapped 60-year-old Islamic cleric, Malam Sani Saleh in Ringim local government area, Jigawa State.

He explained that “the incident happened on 17/03/2020 at about 0120hrs when some hoodlums, about five in number with about three motorcycles, went to the residence of the victim at Kulawa village area in Ringim local government and took him away.”

Jinjiri said immediately after receiving the information, a team of policemem rushed to the scene, adding that before their arrival, the gunmen had moved out of the village with the victim.

Meanwhile, two persons were arrested in connection with the incident.

He said the case was under investigation and that they would be taken to court for prosecution.
