“I will be making 71 years in September this year but when you look at me, it is like I’m still 30 years,” said President Yoweri Museveni.
Museveni made the remarks on Wednesday in Kayunga town while addressing a rally where he encouraged Ugandans to take good care of their lives so as to live longer.

President Museveni, who attributed his healthy life to healthier activities, cautioned Ugandans against life threatening vices like alcohol consumption and promiscuity which he said endanger lives.

“I have taken good care of myself and I don’t drink alcohol; that is why I am still strong and energetic, so even you, you should take care of your lives because health is wealth,” advised Museveni.

He added that; “I have fought Obote, Amin, Okello, Kony and iam still strong. I would not have done all this if I didn’t have good health”.

The president is a well known healthy living ‘activist’. He once said on the BBC’s Hard Talk programme that he does not eat fish, chicken, or pigs (pork)!

He has severally preached that Ugandans are dying young due to their lifestyle and inactivity.
