Paris, a young model was cornered by InfoTrust recently in Pretoria, South Africa. An encounter with this young lady from Mamelodi, Guateng was quite revealing.
Despite her unassuming look, when she speaks, you will not only listen but wishes that she continues to do so. Her voice is musical, tender and soft, her eyes also captivating.
She is an embodiment of an African woman in a sophisticated manner. Paris, the owner of Paristar is a model, traveller, club hosting and event organizer. She is so passionate about the brand Paristar which she hopes will be known in Africa and globally soon.
Her real name is Nthabiseng Zwane. When asked by Info Trust how she came about the name Paris, she answered with a soft smile, “It stands for its own billboard meaning a motivator with fresh, forward-thinking ideas, determined to push beyond boundaries and take the social media to the next level. I use PARIS and each word has its meaning, P-perseverance, A-ambitious, R-responsible, I-independent and S-socialite”
InfoTust asked if the name and the meaning actually reflects who she is?
She answered affirmatively with a glow in her face, “Yes, it does. I am strong, determined and confidence.The brand also consider female leadership and I’m all for women empowerment”
She explained that the name Paris was her modeling name, in her teen years. She said, “the name started in my teen years when I was in the modeling industry for beauty pageant. I’m tall, Skinny and Raw. I haven’t done modeling under any agency with my natural flow. This was my gateway name into the bigger world and possibilities out there.
Apart from her beauty, she exhibited her intellectual prowess as she engaged InfoTrust about people and places across Africa. She disclosed that she is an avid reader and according to her, she reads a lot about women with power and believes more in the role of women in the development of Africa.
She particularly admires Adama Indimi, whom she regarded as her favourite from Nigeria. She quipped in her musical voice, “Adama, the CEO of Kauna Solution is my favourite from Nigeria. She is an inspiration”.
Her favourite artiste too is D’banj who she hopes to meet before the end of the year when she is on holiday to Nigeria. “I love D’banj and I really wish to see him personally when I come to Nigeria towards the end of the year. I love his music,” she added.
