The Nation gathered that the protesters shut down the flow station on Friday over Governor Ifeanyi Okowa’s appointment into the board of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC.

The protesters allegedly accused Deputy Governor, Kingsley Otuaro of highjacking DESOPADEC’s appointment slot for his cronies in Gbaramatu Kingdom in disregard to production quantum.

It was learnt that the people of Diebiri Kingdom claims it is their turn to produce the next member representing Ijaw nation in the state interventionist oil commission. [THE NATION]
