Inferno Kills 34 Persons In Jigawa

Jigawa State Fire Service said thirty four persons lost their lives in a different fire outbreak in the year 2019.

State Director of fire service, Alhaji Ahmed Danyaro Gumel said this while reviewing the directorate’s achievement for the previous year.

He explained that the directorate had received over two hundred and forty six calls, of different fire outbreak from parts of the state.

Alhaji Ahmed Danyaro Gumel also said the directorate has saved about 375 human lives and 69 animal’s lives in the year under review.

He noted that the directorate has also succeeded in saving properties worth six hundred and fifty five million Naira.

Danyaro further warned the general public to be extra careful in handling fire, especially during the period of harmattan.

He commended the Jigawa State government for providing all necessary materials needed for the discharge of their duties.
