The Senate on Thursday said it has summoned the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, and the Director General of the Department of State Services, Lawal Daura, over the invasion of the Senate and subsequent taking away of the mace by hoodlums.
This was revealed on Thursday by the Deputy President of the Senate, Dr. Ike Ekweremadu, who presided over plenary.
Hoodlums had on Wednesday ran amok in the Senate, causing pandemonium.
The equally attempted to kidnap Senator Olamilekan Adeola.
The senator had to jump off in motion as the vehicle sped away.
