A source remarked, “The advocate of democracy has gone to the great beyond.”

Born in Adamawa State, Zwingina was a founding member of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and served as the Senate Majority Leader for two terms. He began his Senate career in June 1999 and held several key committee positions, including chairing the committee on Works and Housing, and serving on committees for Establishment, Internal Affairs, Information, Special Projects, Privatization, and Economic Affairs.

Later in his career, he switched to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and was also the chairman of the board of trustees for the Save Democracy Group Africa. Zwingina was recognized for his advocacy for democracy and made significant contributions to Nigerian politics during his tenure. (SundiataPost, excluding headline)
