The governorship candidate of the YES Party, Mr. Sina Kawonise, has said that 2019 is a year of liberation for the people of Ogun State.

He urged them to enter into it with great expectations and excitement.

Kawonise stated this in a statement yesterday signed by Media Director of his campaign organisation, Mr. Doyin Owobamirin.

According to him, the long-suffering people of Ogun have a few months left to the end of their travails in the hands of successive governments that placed greater priorities on the welfare of themselves, family members and cronies, ahead of the welfare and well-being of the generality of the people.

“The time of suffering and smiling of the Ogun State people is coming to an end in a few months time. This is why I urge our people to match into 2019 with very great expectations and determination. Our oppressors and enemies of our people, who made us, over the years, to suffer in the midst of plenty, are about to be disgraced at the polls,” the statement said.

The YES party standard-bearer also urged the people to speak in unison with their Permanent Voter’s Cards (PVCs) against those who kept them down developmentally and materially over the years.

He reiterated his earlier call on the people to vote him as governor of Ogun State on account of his pedigree, embodiment of the Yoruba requirements of Omoluabi fear of God and the fact that he is about the only candidate in the race in the state who is not beholding to any godfather.
