The chairman of Kebbi State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Comrade Hamza Galadima Zuru, is dead.
This was contained in a statement issued by Secretary, zone A, Abduralzak Bello Kaura.

According to the statement, Zuru died at the Federal Medical Center, (FMC) Birnin Kebbi after battling a prolonged illness.
Zuru contributed greatly to the growth and development of journalism in Kebbi State.
“In this time of mourning, our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, colleagues, and the entire journalism community. We mourn the loss of a great leader and colleague.”
