The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kebbi State has rejected the outcome of last Saturday’s Presidential and National House of Assembly election results in Kebbi.
The State chapter of the party through its Chairman, Saidu Haruna in a press conference in Birnin Kebbi alleged that the election in the state was characterised by impunity, vote buying and intimidation of its supporters (electorates) by security agents during the election in the state.
The opposition party has also alleged that the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) in the state had used traditional leaders in many parts of the state to influence their subjects vote for APC against their wishes.
Haruna said what transpired in Kebbi during the Presidential and National House of Assembly election as bastardization of international acceptable way of conducting election which according to him was not free and fair election.

He further accused the ruling APC in Kebbi of conniving with the security to intimidate members of PDP at poling units particularly in Argungu local government area where he alleged that the election was conducted at gun point where soldiers harassed PDP electorates.
” In Argungu local government, soldiers were brought in , they harassed our members at poling units.
“The election in Kebbi was also characterized by multiple vote buying ,APC agents were seen giving out textile materials and money to voters”, he alleged.
He warned that the PDP would never accept the result of the election and the harassment of its members again while stressing that the party will resist any attempt to scuttle its chances in the upcoming governorship election in the state.
In the same vein, the PDP governorship candidate,Senator Isah Galaudu also frowned at the conduct of the Presidential election in Kebbi State.
He emphasized that the result and conduct of the election was unacceptable while calling on teeming supporters of PDP to remain calm and don’t hesitate to come out during the governorship election and exercise their franchise to vote candidates of their choice.
