Kisira heads Africa Baseball, Softball Zone Three

Wife of the Kwara State Deputy Governor, Mrs. Felicia Kisira has been chosen as the Africa Baseball and Softball Administrator (ABSA) Zone Three.Kisira, who is also the second Vice President of the association in Nigeria, in a letter signed by ABSA Zone Three Director, Albert Frimpong, the continental body promised to give her all the necessary support.

“The core object of the zone is to provide opportunities to youngsters in developing their talents in the sport through collective effort of major players in achieving the feat. “ABSA Zone Three is held in very high esteem by the world and Africa bodies and we hold the key to giving hope to hundreds of youths and children through baseball and softball. “Voluntary service is almost always very difficult and time consuming, we believe that our new administrator is equal to the task and we promise to give her all the necessary support to excel,’’ the letter stated. In her reaction to the post, the Kisira thanked ABSA for the appointment, promising to work with the Zone Three board in order to take the sport to higher level in the sub-region.

“This is a great honour for NBSA and Nigeria. I have received series of congratulatory messages concerning this appointment and I want to call on all stakeholders to rally round me towards the development of the game in the zone. “I am also grateful to the Governor of Kwara, Alhaji Abdufatah Ahmed for his continuous support to the growth of baseball and softball in the country,’’ she stated.
