The Kogi State Government has announced the appointment of Hajia Bilkisu Abdulsalami Ogueyi as the new General Manager of the Kogi State Hotels and Tourism Board, effective May 24, 2023.
According to the letter of appointment signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Mrs. Folashade Arike Ayoade the decision to appoint Hajia Bilkisu Abdulsalam is predicated on her tenacity of purpose, diligence at work, and her significant contributions to the development of tourism in Nigeria.
Hajia Bilkisu Abdulsalam Ogueyi is the owner of one of the most prosperous and thriving tourism companies in Nigeria, Bboogs Travel and Tours Abuja.

She has also served as the President of the National Association of Tour Operators in Nigeria (NATOP) and is currently the President of the Nigerian Women in MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) organization.
“Hajia Bilkisu Abdulsalam’s extensive experience in the tourism industry, coupled with her passion for promoting Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage, makes her the ideal candidate to lead the Kogi State Hotels and Tourism Board,” said Governor Usman Adodo.
“We are confident that under her leadership, the state will witness a significant increase in tourism activities and revenue generation.”
Hajia Bilkisu Abdulsalam Ogueyi has traveled to over 42 countries, promoting tourism and showcasing the best that Nigeria has to offer.
