Players and officials of newly promoted Nigeria Professional Football League club Kwara United were involved in a road accident on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway yesterday morning.

No life was lost in the incident, which occurred around Ibadan, in which the team bus was badly damaged.

The team was on its way to Ilorin from Lagos where they participated in the Bet9ja Nigeria National League Super Four competition, which ended on Tuesday.

It was learnt that the injured players and officials were taken to the hospital.

The Harmony Boys are back in the top flight after spending two seasons in the NNL. Kwara United handled by coach John Obuh is scheduled to host Niger Tornadoes of Minna at home on Sunday in their match day one fixture.
