The Lagos Airport Hotel in Ikeja was gutted by fire on Monday with valuables worth millions of naira destroyed.
The inferno resulted from a surge in the electrical installations at a section of the Banquet Hall around 5am before it extended to the other parts.

Combined efforts of the the Lagos State Fire Service and the state’s Emergency Management Agency prevented the fire from spreading to adjoining buildings.
Firefighters from the Alausa station battled the inferno with three trucks of water and was later put out around 6am.
