A new Commissioner of Police, Abiodun Alabi, has been appointed to take over from Assistant Inspector General of Police Hakeem Odumosu as the Lagos police boss.

Odumosu was recently promoted to the rank of AIG and with the promotion, he was expected to be redeployed from the Llagos State command as the CP
Tribune Online however gathered that CP Alabi, until his latest appointment as the Bauchi State Commissioner of Police, would take over from Odumosu by next week.
