The Lagos State Government on Saturday shut Havillah Event Centre, Oniru, Victoria Island, where petrol was reportedly used as a souvenir at a party.
The event centre, it was gathered, was sealed by officials of the Lagos Safety Commission and the Rapid Response Squad for “contravening public safety rules” by allowing sharing of the petroleum product in jerrycans.

Saharareporters reports that the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos on New Media, Jubril Gawat, said the Commissioner of Police has ordered the arrest of those involved.
Recall that earlier on Saturday, the state government announced the commencement of investigations into the actions of a party organiser, who shared gallons of petrol as souvenirs at an event in the state.

A video, which circulated on social media, showed that attendees were given gallons of petrol with stickers of “Erelu Okin Foundation Installation Party”.
The state government promised to ensure that all persons involved account for the act.
Meanwhile, the party organiser, Erelu Okin, Pearl Chidinma Ogbolu, has apologised for sharing petrol as souvenir at her installation ceremony.

She wrote on Instagram, “I want to use this medium to apologise for the momentary indiscretion of bringing fuel souvenirs into the hall.
“My intent was just to show appreciation to my guests for turning up at my event at these hard times.”
