LMC organises LaLiga trainers for coaching clinic

Twenty Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Youth Clubs are among other 100 coaches for this weekend coaching clinic with resource persons from the Spanish LaLiga.

The clinic is part of the League Management Company (LMC) long-term strategy to develop a supply chain of trained players for the league.

Also, 60 coaches from the Nationwide League One are also participating in the clinic, which will be run by two LaLiga trainers, Oscar Pruzon and David Aznar.

A product of the NPFL-LaLiga Commercial and Technical partnership, the clinic for the youth coaches, which started yesterday till tomorrow, will see the Nigerian academy coaches put through the basics of youth team training.

Speaking on the contents based on the LaLiga Coaching Methodology, former international and Head of the LaLiga Nigeria Office, Mutiu Adepoju, said the seminar would hold at the Abuja National Stadium.

“This clinic on the LaLiga Coaching Methodology will have sub-topics ranging from Introduction to Laliga Methodology; Football Training Structure and Basic Technical / Tactical Training and Foundations. It will also include tutorials on Advanced Technical /Tactical Training and Foundations, Football Training Periodization & Game Model and Strategy and Team/Opponent Analysis.”
