Lobi Stars has created a six-point lead at the summit with a hard earned victory over four-time champions, Kano Pillars in their Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) matchday 18 clash at the Aper Aku Stadium in Makurdi, reports frontpixs.com.
Former Enyimba and Sunshine Stars attacking midfielder, Ayo Saka scored the match winner for the Pride of Benue in the 81st minute of the hotly contested clash just after the Pyramid City side’s player, Chris Madaki received a red card in the clash in the 80th minute.
Elsewhere, top-flight newcomers, Katsina United powered to the second spot on the log with a 1-0 win over 10-man El Kanemi Warriors at the Mahammadu Dikko Stadium in Katsina.
