The ‘Rebel Heart’ hitmaker posts a throwback black-and-white photo of her ex-husband planting a kiss on her cheek.
Madonna took to Instagram on Friday, August 14 to share a sultry throwback picture of her and her ex-husband Sean Penn. In the photo, the “Milk” actor was seen planting a kiss on her cheek. She captioned it, “Its almost our birthdays!! 2 Leo’s #rebelhearts photo by Herb Ritts another Leo.”
Madonna will celebrate her 57th birthday on August 16 while Sean will turn 55 on August 17. The “B***h I’m Madonna” hitmaker started dating the “Mystic River” actor while filming a music video for “Material Girl”. They later got married on her birthday in 1985 and got divorced in 1989.

In an interview with Esquire U.K.’s March issue, Sean opened up about her relationship with Madonna after their separation. “I’m very friendly with my first ex-wife,” he said, “I would say that I’m on extremely good terms with the children I share with my second ex-wife.”

“Initially, in a divorce, you kick and bite about the other person,” he explained, “But finally you’re looking at your failures to that person, to a marriage, to a friendship, to yourself during that time as well. Because no matter what the other person was or wasn’t, for better and for worse, it really has so little to do with the growth you need to find better circumstances. Almost exclusively it has to do with your own stuff.”

Sean recently ended his engagement to Charlize Theron. They had an awkward reunion in South Africa in late July to reshoot their upcoming film “The Last Face”, which he directed and she starred in. Charlize reportedly adopted a newborn daughter following the split, while Sean allegedly moved on from her with “CSI: NY” actress Emmanuelle Vaugier.
