Makinde Mourns Guardian Newspaper’s Photo Journalist Najeem Raheem

Gov. Seyi Makinde of Oyo state has described the death of a photo-journalist with the Guardian Newspaper, Mr Najeem Raheem, as sad and personal loss.

Makinde expressed sadness over the late Raheem’s death in a statement by his Special Assistant on Print Media, Moses Alao on Monday in Ibadan.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Raheem died in the early hours of Monday in Ibadan, during a brief illness.

The governor condole with the family of the late photo journalist and prayed God to grant repose to the soul of the deceased.

He described the late Raheem as a hardworking journalist and an individual who was passionate about development of Oyo state.

Makinde also commiserated with the management of Guardian Newspaper and the state council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists over the death of the Raheem.
