He is facing a three-count charge of conspiracy, unlawful possession of firearms and membership of a secret cult.

Ojora, however, pleaded not guilty.

According to the Prosecutor, Insp. Donjour Perezi, Ojora committed the offences with some people now at large on June 28 at 1:30 p.m. at Ijora, Lagos.

Perezi said that some policemen caught the defendant with two locally-made pistols, noting that Ojora also belonged to cult, known as Eiye Confraternity.

According to the prosecutor, the offences contravene Sections 42(a), 330(d) and 411 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Section 330 (d) stipulates a seven-year jail term for unlawful possession of fire arms.

The Magistrate, Mrs Bukola Mogaji, granted Ojora bail in the sum of N100, 000 with two sureties.

“One of the sureties must be working at a reputable organisation, while the other must be a cleric, a baale or a community leader,” Mogaji said.

She adjourned the case until July 27 for mention. (NAN)
