Many Feared Dead, Trapped As Container Falls In Lagos

Many people are feared killed as a container fell from a truck along Ikorodu Road in Lagos State on Sunday night.

According to available information, the accident occurred at about 8:30pm at Agric, Ikorodu.

The truck, which had an unlatched container, was inbound Ikorodu, when the incident occurred.

The Director General of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, Dr. Femi Oke-Osanyintolu, confirmed the development.

Oke-Osanyintolu, however, said he was yet to ascertain the number of casualties.

He said: “We have deployed our men there.

“I do not know the number of casualties.

“We are there to move the container and save lives.” [THE EAGLE ONLINE]
