APC Chieftain Cautions PDP, Saraki Against Inciting Utterances

Wife of Katsina state governor, Hajiya Binta Masari, yesterday appealed to Katsina women not to relent on their support for President Muhammadu Buhari, Governor Aminu Masari and other candidates of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming polls.

She equally noted that the women’s commitment and solidarity with the president and the standard bearers of the party in their re-election bids were the surest way to ensure the APC government continue to empower more vulnerable persons in the society.

The governor’s wife, who spoke at the NYSC permanent orientation camp in Katsina, during a sensitisation rally for women drawn from the eleven local government areas in Katsina Central Senatorial Zone, hailed their large turn-out and urged  that to turn out in their numbers during the February and March 2019 elections.

Binta Masari encouraged the women not to be careless with their Permanent Voters Cards (PVC) and desist from applying local tattoo (Henna) on their hands throughout the period of the elections so that card readers could easily read their fingerprints.

In her remarks, the state commissioner for women affairs, Dr. Badiyya Hassan Mashi, recounted various empowerment programmes of the present government targeted at women in the state, adding that the re- election of the APC administration would mean more supports and happy life for women in the state.

“You know Governor Aminu Masari’s government has recognized and empowered women in the state more than any government. This is the time to reciprocate his kind gesture. Don’t toy with your PVCs. Keep them very well for the Election Day; I enjoin you all to come out massively to vote,” she said.
