Digital solutions and technology company, Globacom, has been witnessing growth in the number of enterprise clients using its Bulk Data services.
The Bulk Data offering is a self-service portal developed for data allocation, which allows Glo Enterprise customers to gift data to other customers.
Through it, a certain amount of data can be used freely for the navigation of a mobile app or website to certain users free of costs to the customers using the app or website. The enterprise customer pays for the service.
There is a schools’ Bucket Data Plan which enables institutions to purchase Bulk Data for educational use of students.
The Plan carries a 90 days’ validity. The Gifted Data Plan, on the other hand, has a 30 days’ validity.
A sponsor of the Bulk Data can gift data to as many Glo subscribers as the sponsor wishes. Data can also be gifted multiple times to the same beneficiary.
A sponsor can equally gift data in various data sizes including 200MB, 500MB, 1GB, 2GB, 3GB, 4 GB, 5GB or 10GB, depending on the Pack the Gifting customer has subscribed to.
Globacom has designed the product in such manner that SMS notification on the gifted data to the beneficiary can be customized per sponsor. This differentiates this product from others in the market.
The gifted plans can be customized to the needs and request of the sponsor, while the beneficiaries of the Bulk Data gifting can check their own balance by dialing the USSD code, *127*0# on their own devices.
The Bulk Data service is only available to bulk data buyers, such as corporate organizations and schools, including tertiary institutions.
