MultiChoice pledges Ssecurity in Eagles, Atletico duel

Fans preparing to watch the Super Eagles play LaLiga giants, Atletico Madrid, for the GOtv MAX Cup at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo, have been assured of adequate security in and around the match venue.

The match, billed for May 22, is an international friendly tournament organised by MultiChoice Nigeria.General Manager, Sales and Marketing, MultiChoice Nigeria, Martin Mabutho, stated that top-notch security arrangements have been put in place to ensure that fans are protected in and around the stadium.

“Our customers and fans alike have nothing to fear, as we are working with government and private security officers to ensure safety for everyone who comes to the Godswill Akpabio stadium.

“As such, we are calling on football fans in Uyo and its environs to come and watch the Super Eagles play Atletico Madrid in what promises to be a historic match,” he said.

Atletico Madrid, which won the Europa League last Wednesday and sits second on the LaLiga standings. The team is visiting Nigeria for the first time on the invitation of MultiChoice Nigeria.

The match will provide the Super Eagles another opportunity to fine-tune its preparations for the World Cup. The match will air live on SuperSport Select 1 on DStv and GOtv at 6pm.
