The National Assembly Service Commission has approved the appointment of Amos Olatunde Ojo as the Acting Clerk of the National Assembly.
The appointment of the new Acting Clerk was contained in a statement by the Chairman of NASC, Ahmed Amshi, on Friday.
The Commission also approved the appointment of Bala Mohammed as the Acting Deputy Clerk of the National Assembly, while Dauda El-ladan is appointed as the Acting Clerk of of the Senate and Patrick Giwa will remain as the Clerk of the House of Representatives.
The Commission added that all the appointments are with immediate effect.
It could be recalled that on Wednesday the former Clerk of the National Assembly, Mohammed Sani-Omolori, was forced to retire by the National Assembly Service Commission.
But Sani-Omolori in his response said that NASC lacks the power to retire him from service.
The Commission then issued a query to the former Clerk of the National Assembly.
