Navy Hands Over Impounded Vessel To Owner In Delta

The Nigerian Navy on Wednesday handed over an impounded ship, MT Madam Esther vessel, to its owner, Snow White Energy Ltd.

The vessel was released to the representatives of the company at the Warri Naval Base by the Executive Officer of the NNS Delta, Navy Capt. Levi Deyin on behalf of the Commander, NNS Delta, Commodore Abdulhamid Baba-Inna.

The vessel was received by the Manager of the company, Mr Okpoi Iteimo-owei on behalf of the organization.

Deyin said that the vessel was seized in January 2020 in Escravos by the naval personnel following its involvement in illegal activities explaining that the vessel was being released following the conclusion of the case and the approval from the Naval headquarters.

He said, “MT Madam Esther was arrested by the Base in January 2020 for its involvement in illegal activities. Following the conclusion of the case and the approval from the Naval headquarters, I Capt Levi Deyin on behalf of the Chief of Naval Staff hereby hand over the MT Madam Esther to you, the representative of the company, Snow White Energy Ltd today Nov. 17, 2021. You are hereby warned to desist from all forms of illegalities in the future and to always obtain the necessary approval for your activities”.
