In a fresh statement, Primate Elijah Ayodele cautioned Ndudi Elumelu that continuing his current political trajectory could lead to defeat in the upcoming election.
In a strong worded message posted on his ministry’s blog, Primate Ayodele delivered one of his bluntest warnings yet concerning the political ambitions of Ndudi Godwin Elumelu. The tone of the message left no room for confusion or polite interpretations.
According to the Primate, the path ahead for Elumelu is disastrous if he enters the coming election without repentance, humility, and genuine reconnection with his people.
“Ndudi Elumelu, hear me clearly: if you go for this election the way you are right now, you will lose — and not just lose, you will waste money, waste strength, waste time, and waste energy,” he declared during the weekly service.

“You are not in the hearts of your people. They are not standing with you. You cannot win a seat when the ground under you is already broken.”
Primate Ayodele emphasised that the people’s loyalty has shifted.
“The person holding the seat now still has the people’s love more than you. Your name does not carry the favor you think it does. Do not deceive yourself.
He stressed that no political strategy can rescue a candidate who has lost connection with the community.
“If you refuse to humble yourself, if you refuse to repair your relationship with your people, nothing will work for you.
The message then delivered a sharp spiritual warning:
Only if you appeal to the Almighty God with sincerity, without doing good to your people, without repairing what is broken, you are walking into guaranteed defeat,” he added.
