There’s tension in a Lagos community as a two-year-old lion was found in a residential building in the Victoria Island area of Lagos State.
Infotrustng understands that the lion, owned by a yet-to-be identified Indian is caged at Number 229, Muri Okunola Street in Victoria Island.
Reacting to this development, the Lagos State Taskforce on Environmental and Special Offences, Yinka Egbeyemi confirmed the incident to newsmen on Sunday.
According to him, men of the Nigeria Police Force have been deployed in the area.
Egbeyemi disclosed that efforts were been made by the state government through the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment to evacuate the animal from the building.
He also added that the Indian who owns the lion has been invited for questioning.
