The United Nations in Nigeria has released its 2025 Annual Results Report, highlighting key achievements, partnerships, and strategic interventions aimed at advancing sustainable development and improving the lives of millions of Nigerians.
Published on May 15, 2026, by the United Nations Resident Coordinator’s Office (RCO) in collaboration with the UN Country Team and the UN Communication Group (UNCG), the report provides a comprehensive overview of the UN’s support to Nigeria’s national development priorities and the implementation of the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda.
The report outlines the progress made under four strategic priorities — Prosperity, Planet, People, and Peace — which form the core of the United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework in Nigeria.
According to the report, UN agencies and development partners worked closely with federal and state governments, civil society organizations, the private sector, and local communities to address critical issues including poverty reduction, food security, healthcare delivery, quality education, gender equality, climate action, peacebuilding, and economic growth.
