Nigerien Defiles 9-Year-Old Girl In Jigawa

The Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has arrested a 20-year-old Nigerien, identified as Ahmad Isiyaku over alleged rape of a nine-year-old girl in Jigawa State.

The suspect, a Nigerien water vendor, from Damagaram, living in Ayagi Quarters of Gumel LGA, took advantage of the young girl while carrying water to her house.

The incident occurred on Friday, 14th day of August, 2020, when the victim was asked by her parents to call a water vendor.

On their way to the house, the suspect lured her to an uncompleted building and forcefully had a canal knowledge of the girl.

The victim was rescued by passersby after they overheard the outcry of the girl in the uncompleted building.

However, angry youths around the area attempted to lynch the suspect but he was rescued by the operatives of the NSCDC.

Spokesman of Jigawa State command, NSCDC, Adamu Shehu confirmed the incident to DAILY POST.

He said medical examinations conducted on the girl proved forceful penetration and bruises on her private part.
