The Founder of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has urged the Federal Government of Nigeria to revisit the case of Nnamdi Kanu.
Speaking during the weekly Tuesday Service in Lagos today, Primate Ayodele called on the government to reconsider its position on Kanu and grant him the prerogative of mercy.
According to the cleric, such a move would help resolve lingering issues and restore balance in the country.
He questioned the continued detention of Kanu, asking, “Is Nnamdi Kanu a devil? Has he committed an offence that cannot be forgiven?”
Primate Ayodele further appealed to the authorities to review the matter in the interest of peace and reconciliation, stressing that granting Kanu mercy would help settle scores and balance certain concerns.
“Nnamdi Kanu needs the prerogative of mercy,” he concluded.
