The CSR Champion Award (Health) recognises the Foundation’s impactful interventions in the healthcare sector, alongside its broader commitment to social investment programmes spanning health, education, environment, and access to energy.

The recognition follows a series of healthcare initiatives implemented by the Foundation across Nigeria. These include free cataract screenings and surgeries that restored sight to over 6,000 Nigerians, including children born blind; cancer and glaucoma interventions; medical outreaches to underserved communities; and the renovation and furnishing of three hospital wards with 100 beds at the National Orthopaedic Hospital Igbobi.

Other interventions highlighted include partnerships and sponsorship of heart surgeries, as well as the provision of dental health supplies to children in special schools.

According to the Foundation, these achievements were made possible through the leadership and support of the management of NNPC Limited, whose backing has strengthened its capacity to deliver impactful programmes nationwide.

Reacting to the award, the Managing Director of the Foundation, Emmanuella Arukwe, described the recognition as a validation of the organisation’s efforts and the trust reposed in it by Nigerians.
She said the award reflects the confidence Nigerians have in the Foundation’s work and the value placed on purposeful social investments.

Arukwe added that the recognition underscores the resilience of beneficiary communities, the dedication of the Foundation’s team, and the strength of its partnerships in delivering meaningful impact across key sectors.

She further expressed appreciation to the management of NNPC Ltd. for its continued support, noting that the Foundation remains committed to expanding its reach and deepening its impact across the country.
