Nollywood actress, Mide Martins, has advised working mothers and career women to take their culinary skills seriously, as the ageless saying that the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach, is still very much relevant in this day and age.

Speaking at the unveiling of some new products by Sunola Foods Limited, a Fast Moving Consumer Goods company, the popular Yoruba actress said despite her busy schedules as an entertainer, she has been able to keep her marriage of more than a decade because she pays closer attention to the kitchen and when she tried the new Mom’s curry powder introduced into the market, she discovered it to be the best she has used.

A director in the company, Satish Nair, during the unveiling in Lagos, emphasised the crucial role research and development play in the development of new products. According to him, the company carried out extensive research that lasted for six months, which enabled the firm to create unique products that appeal to consumers.

He described Mom’s curry powder, Sunola rice and Sunola sugar as products with competitive prices and customer appeal. In the coming weeks, Nair explained that a mobile kitchen would be deployed to strategic markets in the country by the company in order to allow consumers and traders to experience the taste and aroma of its curry seasoning.

“The reason we named the curry powder Mom’s is because of its distinct aroma that does not only appeal to the consumer, but reminds them of their mothers good cooking while growing up. We are bringing that sense of freshness, ecstatic feeling and alluring taste into one package,” he said.

The National Sales Manager, Sunola Foods, Mr. Adaish Bhaskaran, added that there would be display contest in various markets in the country starting with Lagos. According to him, this will allow the company to engage with consumers and traders across the country and after a grand finale, the Mother of the Year would be crowned with fantastic prizes.
