The Nigeria Rugby Football Federation (NRFF) at the weekend adopted a new constitution, which allows all stakeholders to have a say in the affairs of the body.

The constitution, which is part of Africa and World rugby’s requirement before they recognise the Kelechukwu Mbagwu led NRFF board, was adopted at an extraordinary annual general meeting, which had over 75 delegates, stakeholders, clubs and states’ officials present at the Lekki Coliseum, Lagos.

Speaking at the event, Africa Rugby’s executive member, Khaleddou Babbou said adopting the new constitution would help reposition Nigeria’s rugby.

“The representative of Africa and world rugby is delighted to be part of the meeting. Based on the outcome of the meeting, I can assure you that Nigeria would henceforth be regarded as one of the organised associations in African rugby.
