Scottish Premiership side, Aberdeen, confirmed yesterday the signing of former Nigeria U-20 player, Chidiebere Nwakali on loan from Manchester City.

The deal will see the versatile midfielder remain on loan at Aberdeen until the end of the 2017-18 season.

Dons boss, Derek McInnes told the British press: ‘’He is a player we have been looking at for quite a while and we are delighted to have him on board.

‘’I am sure he will prove to be a valuable addition.’’

Chidiebere Nwakali has linked up with his new teammates at their winter training camp in Dubai.

The 21-year-old previously had loan spells at Girona, Malaga, IK Start and Sogndal Fotball due to difficulties in obtaining a work permit in England.

In November 2017, he earned his first call-up to Nigeria’s senior team but was not utilized in the matches against Algeria and Argentina.

Meanwhile, Eberechi Eze has spoken of his happiness at returning to parent club, Queens Park Rangers, after spending the first half of the season on loan at League Two club, Wycombe Wanderers.
