Obaseki dangles N1m winning bonus on Bendel Insurance

Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki has announced a winning bonus of N1 million for Bendel Insurance Football Club, an incentive he believes will encourage the team to gain promotion to Nigeria’s elite professional football league.
  
The Governor has also promised to support the club both financially and morally to enable them compete favourably and secure promotion to the elite division at the end of the current season of the Nigerian National League.
  
Thrilled by Insurance’ 2 -1 victory over visiting Papilo FC of Owerri, which the governor watched at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Obaseki, accompanied by his Deputy, Comrade Philip Shaibu and the Secretary to the State Government, Osarodion Ogie, commended Coach Roland Ewere and his team for an impressive outing.

While announcing the cash incentive, Obaseki said his administration would do everything necessary to encourage the state-owned club to regain its premiership status.He urged them to be ready to play their parts also by working hard to win every game in order to secure promotion to the elite division.Obaseki dangles N1m winning bonus on Bendel Insurance
