Ogun Discharges 5 COVID-19 Patients, Confirms 2 New Cases

The Government of Ogun State on Sunday announced the discharge of five more coronavirus patients from the hospital.

According to a statement made available to DAILY POST by the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Dapo Abiodun on New Media, Emmanuel Ojo, the five cases were discharged on Saturday.

The state government said, “the patients have since joined their families after they all tested negative for the virus twice, bringing the total number of discharged cases in the State to 35.”

With this, Ogun has a total of 115 confirmed cases.

“There are currently 76 active cases under observation and treatment in the Isolation Centres in the State.

“Contacts of the 2 new confirmed patients are currently being traced.

“Everyone is urged to maintain measures recommended by international and local health authorities. Stay home. Stay safe,” the statement reads.
