An All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship aspirant in Ekiti State, Dr Wole Oluyede, has urged the party to adopt zoning of the 2018 gubernatorial candidate to the South Senatorial district in the state.
Oluyede, a leading aspirant from the South Senatorial district, assured that APC will win if the party could adopt the zoning of the governorship ticket to the South for the 2018 election in the state. He pointed out that the people of the South Senatorial district in the state have been marginalised in the past, saying, it is now their turn to produce the next Governor of the state.
The Australian based medical doctor and prominent son of Ikere Ekiti who stated this in Ado Ekiti at the weekend while paying a familiarisation visit to the party’s EXCO at the APC secretariat located in Ajilosun area of the state capital, described the agitation for zoning as a child of necessity that would not only inject equity and fairplay in the distribution of elective position in the state, but would make it easier for APC to win the poll.
While urging the party to be fair in its consideration for zoning, Oluyede however assured that he would not play the role of a spoiler if not given the party’s flag. He however urged the party to be fair and just in the conduct of the primary.

He disclosed that he had already sealed a deal with a firm in Malayasia for the planting of 10,000 stands of palm trees in Ekiti. This he said will come to fruition whether his ambition is realisable or not.
