Highlighting his achievements, Oyebolu said, “During my brief tenure, we have successfully established a new and fitting State Party Secretariat, rebuilt LG and Ward structures across the entire state, improved party memberships and positioned the party as a credible contender in the upcoming gubernatorial election.”

“Following the successful conduct of the substitution primary, which resulted in the emergence of Otunba Bamidele Akingboye (OBA) as the new Party Leader and flagbearer of our great party, it has become expedient for me to step aside and allow the new party leadership to assume positions as we strive for victory in the upcoming election.”

“Continuing in my current position could potentially distract from and hinder the plans and activities of the new team. Therefore, it is crucial to swiftly empower a new, election-winning machinery to fulfil our candidate’s aspirations and the party’s goals.”

“As preparations intensify to wrest power from the oppressive regime of APC and liberate our people from the mismanagement of the current administration, I am fulfilled and content to step down from my position as State Party Chairman. This will enable our new leadership to build on the existing structures and re-lubricate the party machinery effectively, with the aim of securing victory in November.”

The future of our party is bright and filled with promise. I eagerly anticipate handing over a united and highly motivated SDP team of leaders and members to our newly-minted leader in fulfilment of my promise to allow him take firm control of the campaign and logistics thereabout.”

Speaking on the plan for the November Governorship election, Oyebolu maintained that, “the end of the Ayedatiwa administration is imminent, and I am hopeful that the groundwork already laid will pave the way for preventing another term for the APC administration.”

“The good people of Ondo State have clearly voiced their desire to end sufferings, oppression, and the dubious antics of the current administration. I therefore enjoin our ebullient candidate to hit the ground running as we look forward to the liberation of our people from the oppressive policies of the current administration.”

“As a party, we have invested and will continue to invest in the promises of a new and better tomorrow for our people. Our determination to change the “changers” remains sacrosanct.”

“Once again, I sincerely thank you for the opportunity to serve the party and our esteemed constituents”, Oyebolu added.
