The Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Matthew Olonisaye in a statement on Monday attributed the cause of the accident to brake failure.

He advised vehicles owners to take the maintenance of their vehicles seriously adding that the command would continue to be hard on vehicles owners that compromise on this.

“Vehicle owners should not take maintenance of their vehicles for granted. The Sector Command will continue to be hard on the owner of vehicles that are not roadworthy. Road users should obey traffic rules and regulations and continue to cooperate with our operatives to minimize road mishaps,” Olonisaye said.
