Online coach, Obi trains women on finding their gold

To create avenue for women to earn more and leverage on their talents for gain, Nigeria’s queen of online courses, Stephanie Obi, at a workshop recently, inspired others to venture into creating online courses.More than 100 women entrepreneurs and small business owners gathered for the training at the event tagged, Find Your Gold Live, held at the Landmark Towers, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The event also doubled as a self-styled launch for her much-awaited book, Knowledge is the New Gold.Conversations surrounding Obi’s personal journey were shared, as she helped women discover their full potential in creating online courses and multiplying their sources of income, which is the focus of the book.

The Find Your Gold event commanded an array of inspiring female speakers, who participated, alongside the author, in exploring how participants could grow their own online communities.

The main panel consisted of leading women like, Afua Osei, co-founder of She Leads Africa; Ifeyinwa Mogekwu, owner of Ify’s Kitchen; Bunmi George, owner of Shredder Gang; and Miriam MacRaymond, owner of Bake and Beads. These women held energising and in-depth conversations with the guests, as they talked about their various journeys and how their online platforms had contributed immensely to their growth.

Osei stressed authenticity in creating content that apply to audience that they could connect with.She advised participants to leverage on the power of social media and use content with mass appeal to drive approach.

MacRaymond, on her part, said she uses live classes and webinar to grow her audience aside freebies she offers occasionally to drive her online courses.She reiterated the importane of finding out what people want, saying, “ what they should be looking for is giving values to those in need of it.”
