A councillor in the Odo Otin North Local Council Development Area was arrested on Monday by security operatives for operating a Facebook account called ‘Osun Media Guru’, which he had allegedly been using to attack the Osun State Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola.

Raji, elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, represents Ward 15A, Oyan, in the Odo Otin North LCDA.

An associate of Raji, who preferred not be named, told our correspondent the parliamentarian was arrested in his house in Osogbo in the morning.

But in a telephone conversation with our correspondent around 4:45pm, Raji said he had been released.

Although he declined further comment on what transpired while he was in the custody, Raji said, “I wrote a petition to our party chairman when they first accused me of running a Facebook account with the name Osun Media Guru.

“I have been released. I was arrested around 8:00am at my house in Osogbo. We will address the issue in due course.”
