Ahead of the 2019 general elections, residents of Oyo State have lauded the performance of President Muhammadu Buhari-led Federal Government in the last three and a half years.

They agreed that the president and his vice, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, deserves another four years to consolidate on their landmark achievements.

The residents made this known in separate interviews with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Iseyin, assuring Buhari of their support in the forthcoming presidential elections.

Alhaji Shola Amole, an Ibadan-based motor dealer, said the president and his team have done well in the light of the circumstances under which they came into government.

“I tell you most sincerely this administration has done well considering the performance of those who handed over to them. Our major problem is that our people forget so easily, so they forget quickly where they were coming from and where they are now,” he said.

Mr Malik Aderogba, a Saki-based businessman said his town had experienced some development since the coming of the APC administration.

“Things are changing and improving gradually. For instance, Saki now has one of the biggest ICT centres in Nigeria. Before now, our students travel many kilometres to take the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). This is the only administration that shows that they care genuinely about us and our future,” he said.

Also, Mr Alabi Lateef, a resident of Iseyin, said the Buhari administration has touched many lives positively.

While promising to vote APC in the forthcoming elections, he advised the leadership of the party to take all positive criticisms seriously.

Miss Mofoluwake Williams, an Ogbomoso-based fashion designer, said “I so much believe in this administration of President Buhari. We have to be a bit patient with the situation of things.

“Our infrastructure and general lives have been greatly affected by past administrations and this may take some time to fix but the good thing is that the President has started. I will be acting against my conscience if I vote against him or his party at any level,” she said.
