Iyorchia Ayu, the embattled National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has stepped aside from his position.
Recall that Ayu was suspended during the week by the Benue State branch of the party.
However,in another report, the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was said to have replaced its suspended National Chairman Iyorchia Ayu with one of his deputies, Amb Umar Damagum.
Damagum, who was the Deputy National Chairman (North), will occupy the seat in an acting capacity.
